![]() Construct cells, forge floors and manufacture maintenance rooms and more, the freedom is yours…. The editor is intuitive to use, enabling players to drag and drop elements and rooms into their prison, which can be built over two floors, two vent layers and a roof. ![]() The addition of the new Prison Editor allows players to design and create their own custom prisons to play. The new update adds in a much-requested fan feature, a Prison Map Editor. The official maps have so much custom stuff you just get slapped in the face with all the preset stuff that goes horribly with your planned hallways and layouts.UK – Award-winning international games label Team17 has launched a free update for its sandbox escape hit The Escapists 2 on PC. ![]() All escape options are to easy once reached, no "repair vehicle" settings make the games lame. To much preset stuff you HAVE to use which you can't even slightly edit! ( Like adding/removing a door) To few door colors for non preset rooms. [Can there be single player prisons? No, the editor REQUIRES support up to four human players, you cant seem to build a prison solely to test the might and skills of a solo run.īecause of the lack of options I have only been able to make prisons that are escapable by at least 1 player (or you added so many generator rooms that you need to disable all at the same time, yes then your asking for it.) Otherwise I don't see what your comment is based on.īringing up the generators btw, I miss the electrified fencing as well. Originally posted by Aminity:I agree on all mentioned points, except one. These are just issues I would like to have addressed down the road. Would REALLY wish the devs go back and devote a little time to touch up the editor, and I know it JUST came out. I feel like it could have been done a lot better but thats just me. No undergrounds.įrom what I've combed through, these are the initial issues that I specifically have with the editor. can you customize items and hourly schedules? Surprisingly, yes, you can specify what activity goes on by an hourly basis, a step up from ES1's prison editor where schedule was defined by which prison the player was emulating, item sets are selected from a range of lists, unable to be defined item by item sadly.Ĭan you set specific music to your prison? No, at least nothing I've seen lets you do thatĬan you make your prison as tall as the Offshore Oil Rig, or deep underground? No, limited to two floors, vent layers, and a roof. This is just me complaining about this feature, if you actually like the editor and are happy with it, then you're prolly better off skipping this thread unless you want to hear the opinions of others.Īre there tile sets to work with? No, you're limited to green grassy Centre Parks tileset, no space prisons, no desert prisons, no mobile train, plane, or boat prisons/Ĭan there be single player prisons? No, the editor REQUIRES support up to four human players, you cant seem to build a prison solely to test the might and skills of a solo run.Ĭan there be diverse or complex prison layouts? No, specialty rooms such as cells, messhalls, etc have to be placed using cookie-cutter presets that dont offer any such range of diversity or creative layout, all non-important areas of the prison can be made tile by tile. Sad to say, it does NOT live up to the hype, in fact, it feels more like a watered down version of ES1's prison editor. Got my hopes up for this editor, figured it would be more comprehensive, intuitive, and packed with more flavor and punch than the editor of the previous Escapists game.
